TRAFFORD. Pa – Katya Pryshchenko (Berwyn, Pa./AIM Academy) of the Allegheny women's swimming and diving team was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Swimmer of the Week for her performances in a pair of meets this past weekend.
 
This marks the second time Pryshchenko has earned the honor this season.
 
The Gators went 1-1 in meets against PAC schools this weekend in Meadville. Against Westminster, Pryshchenko claimed victory in the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.21 seconds as well as the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:22.06. Pryshchenko then won three races as the Gators defeated Chatham. She won the 100 (58.57), 200 (2:08.81) and 500 (5:50.05) freestyle events.
 
Allegheny concludes their regular season Saturday (Jan. 20) on the road at Oberlin.
