ERIE, Pa. -- Allegheny College and Penn State Behrend were unable to finish Monday's non-conference women's tennis due to inclement weather.
The Gators and Lions will wrap up singles action on a date to be determined.
At the time of the suspension, the Gators had swept all three doubles matches.
Sabrina Rodriguez (Kissimmee, Fla./Professional and Technical) and
Allison Riley (Twinsburg, Ohio/Twinsburg) defeated Erica Jasinski and Lindsey Kerlin, 8-4, at first doubles.
Jean-Arlette Legrand (San Juan, Puerto Rico/Commonwealth Parkville School) and
Emiliia Grydnieva (Kyiv, Ukraine/Optima) teamed up for an 8-2 victory at No. 2 doubles, while first-year standouts
Omega Ba (Orlando, Fla./Edgewater) and
Rei Etsumi (Honolulu, Hawaii/President William McKinley) nearly swept their third doubles opponents, 8-1.
Allegheny returns home for the 2023 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opener on Wednesday, September 20, when the Gators host Franciscan University at 4:30 p.m.
