TRAFFORD, Pa. – Leuca Hanish (Baden, Pa./Ambridge) of the Allegheny women's track and field team was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Track Athlete of the Week for her performance at Oberlin's Bob Kahn Invitational this past weekend.
 
Hanish won the 10,000 meter run at the event with a time of 38:53.97. That finish was more than a minute ahead of the runner-up finisher. It was also marked the top time in the conference this season and the 39th best time in all of Division III this year.
 
The award also marks the first for the women's track and field team for the outdoor season.
 
The Gators are back on the track this weekend (April 7-8) when they compete at the Westminster Invitational.
