MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Allegheny men's track and field team captured three individual titles en route to a fifth-place finish at the 2023 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
 
Stephen Cullinan (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air) brought home the PAC title in the pole vault. He picked up the win by clearing 4.16 meters. This marks the second pole vault title for him as he won the PAC Indoor Championships previously this year. Cullinan also registered top-eight finishes in the 400 meter hurdles, long jump and high jump. He claimed seventh with a time of 59.40 in the 400 meter hurdles as well as the long jump with a leap of 6.16 meters. He cleared 1.65 meters in the high jump to place eighth.
 
Peter Lantz (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg) picked up a first-place finish in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. He crossed the finish line with a time of 9:41.36. The finish was about 10 seconds ahead of the runner-up and marked his first title at a conference championship and a career-best time.
 
Jacob Boord (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield) claimed his third career conference championship, winning the javelin with a throw of 63.29 meters. The winning toss was almost ten meters further than the runner-up and was a facility record. Boord currently holds one of the top distances in Division III this season.
 
The Gators had a strong showing in the 5,000 meter run, going two, three, four. Sean Heintzleman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Winchester Thurston) was the runner-up, crossing the finish line at 15:22.56. Lantz was just behind, taking third with a time of 15:37.42 while Desmond Corrado (Crafton, Pa./Carlyton) was fourth with a time of 15:42.16.
 
Cole Jooste (Upper Saint Clair, Pa./Upper Saint Clair) placed fourth in the 1,500 meter run with a time of 4:04.32. Colm Mulligan (Chestnut Hill, Mass./Brookline) was just behind Jooste in fifth with a time of 4:08.67.
 
Zack Wyse (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) and Joe McAuliffe (Massillon, Ohio/Jackson) took seventh and eighth in the 800 meter dash. Wyse finished with a time of 1:59.92 while McAuliffe clocked in at 2:00.09.
 
The 4x400 meter relay team of McAuliffe, Jooste, Wyse and Cullinan took sixth with a time of 3:33.74.
 
Hamilton Kraemer (North East, Pa./North East) was fourth with the discus with a distance of 42.43 meters. Jacob King (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe) took seventh in the shot put with a toss of 12.81 meters. He also took eighth in the discus with a throw of 38.49 meters.
 
Matt Reynolds (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air) finished eighth in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.26 meters.
