OBERLIN, Ohio – The Allegheny men's track and field team traveled to Oberlin for their annual Bob Kahn Invitational Friday and Saturday (March 31-April 1).
Desmond Corrado (Crafton, Pa./Carlynton) picked up a victory in the 10,000 meter run, crossing the finish line with a time of 15:58.21.
Cole Jooste (Upper Saint Clair, Pa./Upper Saint Clair) finished fifth in the 1,500 meter run with a time of 4:07.47.
Colm Mulligan (Chestnut Hills, Mass./Brookline) placed seventh in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 15:58.21.
In the 800 meter run,
Joe McAuliffe (Massillon, Ohio/Jackson) took fourth with a time of 2:01.95 while
Zack Wyse (Pittsburgh, Pa./Baldwin) was just behind McAuliffe in fifth with a time of 2:02.11.
The 4x400 team of McAuliffe, Wyse,
Eliel Cortez (Wylie, Texas/Wylie East) and
William Lane (Port Washington, N.Y./Paul D. Schreiber) placed fifth with a time of 3:40.82.
In the field events,
Jonah Wells (Wyndmoor, Pa./Springfield Township) led the way for the Gators. His throw of 45.07 meters in the javelin won him the event.
Jacob King (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe) had a trio of top-eight finishes. He took fourth in the shot put with a toss of 12.65 meters, sixth in the hammer with a heave of 45.02 meters and seventh in the discus with a throw of 36.72 meters.
Hamilton Kraemer (North East, Pa./North East) took third in the discus with a toss of 39.29 meters.
Stephen Cullinan (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air) placed fifth in the pole vault with a height of 3.80 meters and seventh in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:01.05.
