NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- After scoring 13 goals in a pair of wins on the West Coast, Allegheny College's Lauren Petrarca (Simi Valley, Calif/Royal) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, as announced on Tuesday morning.

The second-year attacker put up impressive numbers in wins over Whitworth University and Whitman College during Allegheny's spring break trip. In a 23-6 drubbing of the Pirates, she scored six goals and added one assist for seven points. One day later, she led the Gators to a 16-10 win over Whitman with career highs in points (8) and goals (7). Petrarca also added a combined five ground balls, three caused turnovers, and two draw controls in the two games.

Through the first four games of 2023, Petrarca has nearly reached her offensive totals from the entire 15-game 2022 campaign. The California native is tied for the team lead with 21 goals and is second with 24 points. 

The Gators will look to continue their undefeated start to the spring on Wednesday, March 15, when they face Baldwin Wallace University in their 2022 home opener on the blue turf at the Robertson Athletic Complex. The opening draw is set for 6:00 p.m.
