GROVE CITY, Pa. – Junior Olivia Kraus (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) captured her second title of the 2023 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships, winning the 100 freestyle championship on the final day of the championship event Saturday (Feb. 18).
 
After winning the 50 freestyle earlier in the week, Kraus earned the top-seed in the 100 freestyle championship final with a time of 52.31. In the championship final, Kraus clocked in at 52.43, a half a second ahead of the runner-up, to capture her second title, and the team's third title of the event.
 
After four days of competition, the Gators finished in fourth, accumulating 466 points.
 
The evening started with the 1650 freestyle. Katya Pryshchenko (Berwyn, Pa./Aim Academy) placed eighth in the event with a time of 19:26.47. Emily Spitz (Jamestown, N.Y./Jamestown) finished the event in 15th with a time of 20:21.72.
 
Ariana Clark (Freeport, Pa./Freeport) swam in the 200 backstroke championship final. Clark clocked in a time of 2:10.92 to finish in third. Jenna Halenda (Mara, Pa./Mars) earned a spot in the consolation final, winning the heat with a time of 2:16.76.
 
Anna Kohler (Sewickley, Pa./Avonworth) qualified for the consolation final of the 100 freestyle, finishing in 14th with a time of 1:00.85.
 
Josephine Reiter (Pittsburgh, Pa./CAPA) made it to the championship final of the 200 breaststroke after winning the 100 breaststroke a day prior. In the finals, Reiter swam a time of 2:36.81 to take seventh.
 
Maggie Baham (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) qualified for the 200 butterfly championship, finishing in fourth place with a time of 2:18.45. Emma Afton (Brookville, Pa./Brookville Area) made it to the consolation final of the event and won the heat with a time of 2:36.10.
 
The Championships concluded with the 400 freestyle relay. The team of Halenda, Pryshchenko, Baham and Kraus took third with a time of 3:43.65. The other Gator squad of Spitz, Reiter, Skyler Masse (Akron, N.Y./Akron) and Clark finished 11th with a time of 3:55.96.
