SELINSGROVE, Pa. --
Allegheny College men's track and field sent two multi-event athletes to compete in the Susquehanna University Early Season Multi and Invite, hosted by the River Hawks at Robert I. Estill Field House on Friday and Saturday.

Juniors Aaron Moon (Springfield, Va./Lake Braddock) and Matt Reynolds (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air) both made the nearly four-hour trip east for the two-day heptathlon, which included competitions in the 60-meter dash, 1,000-meter run, 60-meter hurdles, high jump, pole vault, long jump, and shot put.

The reigning Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Track Athlete of the Week, Moon, had a strong showing again this weekend. He placed fifth with 3,927 points, an All-Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference (AARTFC)-qualifying mark, and collected three individual wins. The junior transfer won the 60-meter dash (7.00 seconds), the long jump (6.74 meters), and the pole vault (3.80 meters). If not for a disqualified score in the hurdles, Moon likely would have placed second behind Doug Walsh from Division II Bloomsburg University, who won the heptathlon with 4,701 points.

Reynolds scored in five of the seven events and finished with 2,236 points. His best performances came in the shot put and pole vault, where he placed sixth with marks of 9.75 and 3.20 meters, respectively. Reynolds also set a personal record in the high jump at 1.51 meters.
