ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Allegheny women's swimming and diving team closed out their regular season on the road at Mount Union Friday (Jan. 27).
Allegheny fell on the road 165-52. Overall, the Gators won three races.
The meet began with an Allegheny victory in 200 medley relay.
Ariana Clark (Freeport, Pa./Freeport),
Josephine Reiter (Pittsburgh, Pa./CAPA),
Maggie Baham (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) and
Olivia Kraus (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) finished the race with a time of 1:56.67.
Clark and Reiter also had individual wins. Clark won the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:02.66 while Reiter captured the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:12.51.
Kraus added a runner-up finish in the 200 freestyle.
Jenna Halenda (Mars, Pa./Mars) and
Katya Pryshchenko (Berwyn, Pa./Aim Academy) had third-place finishes in the 500 and 1000 freestyles, respectively.
The Gator 200 freestyle team of Halenda, Baham, Pryshchenko and Kraus ended the meet with a second-place finish.
