MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny men's swimming and diving team concluded home competition for the season against Oberlin on senior day Saturday (Jan. 21).
 
The Gators fell by a score of 165-96, though they won six events.
 
Prior to the meet, the Gators honored their three seniors: Pierre Jaeggi (Fountain Valley, Calif./Valiant Prep), Dalton Lodzins (Anchorage, Alaska/Chugiak) and Daniel Logue (Pittsburgh, Pa./Fox Chapel).
 
The Gators bookended the event with relay wins. The 400 medley relay team of Emmett Manning (Holmdel, N.J./Holmdel), Daniel Jackson (Warwick, N.Y./Warwick Valley), Jaeggi and Lodzins opened competition with a victory, clocking in at 3:40.84 while the 400 freestyle team of Manning, Jack Malnar (Brecksville, Ohio/Brecksville-Broadview Heights), Lodzins and Jackson won with a time of 3:17.66 to close out the day.
 
In addition to being on the winning 400 medley relay team, Jaeggi swept the butterfly events. He won the 100 with a time of 53.69 while capturing the 200 with a time of 2:02.39.
 
Jackson added to his victory total in the 100 breaststroke, winning with a time of 1:02.31. He also took second in the 400-individual medley.
 
Lodzins touched first in the 50 freestyle, finishing with a time of 22.63, rounding out the event winners. In addition to the win, Lodzins also took second in the 100 freestyle.
 
In addition to his 400 freestyle relay win, Malnar placed second in the 500 freestyle.
