MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny track and field teams hosted the annual Marty Goldberg Gator Invite Thursday (May 12).
 
The women's 4x100 team of Emma Anderson (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton), Eva Martino (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional), Melina Mangino (New Castle, Pa./Shenango) and Mihaela Toader (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon) broke the school record with a time of 49.05. The previous record of 49.40 was set in 2000 by Carolyn Sikora, Erin Switzer, Patricia Clark and Becky Rittenhouse.
 
Additionally, Toader picked up wins in the 200 and 400 with times of 25.62 and 58.53, respectively.
 
Mangino also won the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.08 while Sarah Maue (Tamaqua, Pa./Tamaqua Area) won the 800 with a time of 2:29.19. Mazzie Standish (Wexford, Pa./North Allegheny) won the 5,000 meter run, clocking in at 19:48.89.
 
The 4x400 relay team of Kelsey Anderson (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton), E. Anderson, Celia Cocca (East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora) and Julieta Schworm (Newark, Ohio/Licking Valley) also won with a time of 4:13.03.
 
Hope Gomez (Laveen, Ariz./Valley Christian) finished second in the javelin with a distance of 33.75 meters.
 
Megan Aaron (Cranberry Township. Pa./Seneca Valley) finished second in the 1,500 meter run with a time of 4:54.84. 
 
The men's 4x100 relay team consisting of Tylir Shannon (Transfer, Pa./Reynolds), Nick Murawski (Grove City, Pa./Grove City), Holden Ford (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper Saint Clair) and Anthony Steinpreis (Tempe, Ariz./Marcos De Ziza) ran the second fastest time in Allegheny history with a 42.06.
 
Joe McAuliffe (Massillon, Pa./Jackson) won the 800 meter run with a time of 1:56.85 while Tim Weighart (Brookline, Mass./Brookline) won the 1,500 meter run with a time of 4:12.98.
