HOWARD, Ohio – The Allegheny men's golf team participated in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC)/Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Clash April 23-24 at the Apple Valley Golf Club in Howard, Ohio.
The Gators finished the 12-team event in sixth-place with a score of 594.
Zachary Melzar (Sterling, Mass./Wachussett Regional) and
Bergas Anargya (Jakarta, Indonesia/Binus School Simprug) tied for the best performances for Allegheny as they both shot 147s to tie for 12th-place. Melzar shot rounds of 77 and 70 while Anargya had rounds of 74 and 63.
Carter Hassenplug (North East, Pa./North East) was third for the Gators, tying for 22nd with a score of 149 (72-77).
Ryan Dayton (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton) was fourth for the Gators in 31st-place with a score of 151 (75-76) while
Faaris Cheema (Dubai, UAE/Kings School Al Basha) rounded out the Gator five in 52nd-place with a score of 162 (79-83).
The Gators are back in action April 29-May 1 when they compete at the 2022 NCAC Championships held at the Westbrook Country Club in Mansfield, Ohio.
