Kasavage Joins Men's Basketball Staff for 2022-23 Season

MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Allegheny College head men's basketball coach, Bob Simmons, is pleased to announce the addition of intern Kylie Kasavage to his staff for the 2022-23 season, which begins tomorrow, November 8, against Fredonia State.

Kasavage, a senior Allegheny student pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in business with a minor in studio art, will work behind the scenes alongside Simmons and assistant coach Greg Bean as the team's social media content creator.

"We are excited to have Kylie be part of our Allegheny College men's basketball family," Simmons said. "When we were looking for someone to help with our social media, Chris Allison '83 worked with me on creating this internship opportunity for one of our talented students. Professor Russell Ormiston recommended Kylie, and from the moment she walked in the door, I knew she would fit our family. I am excited to watch her grow in this role and be able to help her with her future career goals."

A Distinguished Alden Scholar and former Allegheny College Wealth Management Club marketing chair, Kasavage will be tasked with creating and executing a content calendar for the Gators' various social media accounts. In her new role, Kasavage will be responsible for shooting and editing videos to help increase the team's digital engagement.

In this for-credit role, Kasavage will bolster her resume to help her reach her ultimate career goal of a full-time job in the professional sports industry.
