Box Score BRADFORD, Pa. -- The Allegheny women's soccer team remained undefeated on the season thanks to a hat trick from junior
Shannon McGuinn (Warminster, Pa./William Tennet) that led to a 4-1 nonconference win at Pitt-Bradford.
The Gators improve to 2-0-1 this season, marking the best start to a campaign since 2010 when Allegheny began 12-0-3.
McGuinn posted a natural hat trick, scoring the final three goals of the match for Allegheny, each coming off an assist from a different player. McGuinn's first tally was aided by
Taylor Renk (Cranberry Township, Pa./Oakland Catholic), while
Sasha Rosa (East Lansing, Mich./East Lansing) set up the second for her first career point and
Alex Klare (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) dished out the final tally.
The opening goal of the match for the Gators was netted by
Amy Barra (Coral Springs, Fla./Cardinal Gibbons) off an assist from
Isabelle Wolter (McLean, Va./Langley).
Allegheny will travel to Pittsburgh on Saturday, Sept. 7 for another nonconference match against Chatham.
