INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Allegheny duo of Sarah Hevener (Hilliard, Ohio/Hilliard Bradley) and Emily Forner (Beaver, Pa./Beaver) will once again represent the Gators at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

The 2019 championship event will be hosted at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio on Thursday-Saturday, May 23-25. Hevener qualified in the women's 10,000-meter run, which is the first track event at 9:45 a.m. on Thursday. (EDIT: May 22, 4:15 pm -- The women's 10K has been pushed back to 6:45 p.m. on Thursday). Forner earned her spot in the women's 5,000-meter run, which will be the final individual track event contested on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Hevener earned her second career appearance at the Division III Outdoor Championships in the 10K with the 20th seed time of the 22 qualifiers after posting a time of 36:33.60 at the Bucknell Bison Classic in mid-April. She previously qualified in 2017, where she finished 13th in the nation with a time of 36:33.60. This will be the sixth overall appearance for Hevener at an NCAA National Championship event (two outdoor track, four cross country).

Forner posted the fastest time in the nation in the 5K at the Bucknell Bison Open and her time of 16:33.01 has stood tall as tops in the nation entering the final race of the year. She previously ran on the national outdoor stage a season ago, placing 20th in the same event. This year, she is coming off of a national title in the women's indoor 3,000-meter run. In total, this will mark the eighth time competing at the NCAA Championships for Forner (two indoor track, two outdoor track, four cross country).
