LATROBE, Pa.— The Allegheny women's swimming and diving team returned to action Friday (Nov. 1) as they traveled to St. Vincent College.
The Gators won the dual 191-100, collecting nine wins along the way.
Emily Schaefer (Pittsburgh, Pa./Shaler Area) and
Hannah Tonsmann (Bainbridge Island, Wash./Bainbridge) had a pair of individual wins apiece. Schaefer took first in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:18.20 as well as the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:55.88. Tonsmann won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:34.67 and the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:10.49.
McClaren Rodriguez (Mason City, Iowa/Mason City) won the 100 freestyle with a time of 55.98. while taking a runner-up finish in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:01.09.
Megan Corletti (Monroeville, Pa./Oakland Catholic) placed first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:12.82 and placed second in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 2:35.58.
Sadie Brown (Portland, Ore./Pacific Crest Community) finished first in the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.05.
Alyson Codner (Harvard, Mass./The Bromfield School) took second in the 500 freestyle (5:41.77) as well as the 1000 freestyle (11:40.86).
Anna Verardi (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) had second place finishes in the 100 backstroke (1:01.49) and the 100 freestyle (56.50).
Aimee Verardi (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) placed second in the 100 butterfly (1:02.03),
Kaitlin Franzen (Jamestown, N.Y./Frewsburg Central) placed second in the 100 breaststroke (1:13.34),
Ariana Clark (Freeport, Pa./Freeport) placed second in the 400 individual medley (5:06.82) and
Maddie Janvrin (Woodridge, Ill./Naperville) placed second in the 200 backstroke (2:14.92).
The 400 freestyle relay team of Brown,

Aimee Verardi and Rodriguez won with a time of 1:40.97 while the 200-yard medley relay team of
Anna Verardi, Corletti,
Aimee Verardi and Rodriguez finished second with a time of 1:55.64.
Chelsea Pietrzycki (Parma, Ohio/Parma) won the one-meter dive with a score of 384.40.
Brionna Litwin (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) scored 377.85.
The Gators are back in action next Friday-Saturday (Nov. 8-9) when the host the annual Gator Invite.
