TRAFFORD, Pa. – Marissa Rish (Burton, Ohio / Berkshire) of the Allegheny volleyball team was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week for her performance during the Gators opening week.
 
In her collegiate debut, Rish put together a rare 16 assist, 15 dig, 12 kill triple-double on the road against Wooster.
 
The Gators also competed in four matches at the 2026 Great Lakes Crossover. In those four matches, Rish tallied 61 assists, 30 digs and 29 kills. In the Gators win against Kenyon during the event, Rish almost had a second triple-double, finishing with 22 assists, 14 kills and nine digs.
 
Allegheny is back in action Tuesday (Sept. 8) at John Carroll.
