LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The Allegheny College volleyball team was honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) with the 2026 Team Academic Award for their performance in the classroom this past academic year.
 
The Gators earned the honor for the seventh straight year, and the 10th time overall in program history. 
 
More than 1,400 volleyball programs earned the AVCA Team Academic Award for maintaining a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or 4.1 on a 5.0 scale), to earn the award for their classroom excellence during the recently completed academic year.
