TRAFFORD, Pa. – Marissa Rish (Burton, Ohio/Berkshire) of the Allegheny volleyball team earned Newcomer of the Week honors from the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) after helping the Gators go 3-0 at their home invitational.
 
This marks the second time Rish has earned the honor this season.
 
In three matches, Rish tallied 56 assists, 40 kills and 39 digs. Rish recorded triple-doubles against both Fredonia and Adrian. In the Fredonia match, Rish had 24 assists, 18 digs and 16 kills before having 17 assists, 17 kills and 12 digs against Adrian. Rish finished the weekend with 15 assists, nine digs and seven kills against Houghton. 
 
The Gators are back in action Thursday (Sept. 24) at Penn State Behrend.
