STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- The Allegheny College women's golf team earned a pair of top-20 finishes at the Toftrees Invitational, hosted by Penn State Altoona at the Toftrees Golf Resort in State College.

Juniors Ada Coté (West Henrietta, N.Y./Rush-Henrietta) and Kessler Potter (Kents Store, Va./Fluvanna County) paced the Blue & Gold on the course on Sunday and Monday. Both logged better scores during the second round and moved several spots up the leaderboard.

Coté led the way in 12th place after shooting an 82 (+11) on Monday, a nine-shot improvement from her first 18 holes. She posted a two-day total of 173 (+31). Potter tied Avri Chandler from Saint Francis University for 17th place with a cumulative 183 (+41).

As a team, the Gators trimmed 18 strokes off of their first-round score, surpassing Juniata College along the way. Allegheny placed sixth overall with a 758 (+190), beating the Eagles by 24 shots.
