VIENNA, Ohio -- The Allegheny College women's golf team improved by 11 shots and surpassed Saint Vincent College during the second round of the 2026 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Fall Championships at the Avalon at Squaw Creek Golf Course on Tuesday.
On a rare warm October day, Allegheny posted a team score of 369 (+81) in the second round, allowing the Gators to leapfrog the Bearcats and move into fifth place in the 10-team tournament. After 36 holes, the Blue & Gold (749, +173) lead the sixth-place Bearcats (763, +187) by 14 strokes.
The team's noteworthy second-round performance was fueled by an incredible showing from sophomore
Elana Khilji (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley). Khilji soared 19 spots up the leaderboard – the largest jump by any of the 55 competing golfers – and now sits in a two-way tie for 10th place. She carded three birdies en route to an 81 (+9), tied for the fourth-best score of the day and a 16-shot improvement from her opening round.
Junior
Kessler Potter (Kents Store, Va./Fluvanna County) also climbed the leaderboard, moving five spots into a tie for 13th. Potter cut three shots off her first-round score with an 89 (+17), highlighted by her first birdie of the tournament on the par-4 12th.
This week's results will carry over into the spring half of the PAC Championships, with another 36 holes to be played at Mill Creek Golf Course in Boardman, Ohio, in April.
