Women's Golf Picked Third in PAC Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll

PAC Release

TRAFFORD, Pa. --
The Allegheny College women's golf team finished third in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll, the conference announced on Sunday afternoon.

Allegheny was one of three teams to receive a first-place vote in the pre-championship poll. The Gators earned two first-place votes and were tabbed third out of 12 teams with 87 points. Westminster College was picked to finish first with 106 points, followed by Grove City College with 93. Rounding out the top five were Washington and Jefferson College (82), the defending champion, and Saint Vincent College (68).

The PAC's annual champion is determined by a 72-hole stroke play tournament, which begins with 36 holes on Monday, October 12, and Tuesday, October 13. The first half of the women's championship will be held at Avalon Golf and Country Club's Squaw Creek course in Vienna, Ohio. The final rounds will be held at the Mill Creek Golf Course in Boardman, Ohio, in April.

The PAC's pre-championship announcement also included a list of golfers to watch from each team. Allegheny placed two student-athletes on the watchlist, juniors Ada Coté (West Henrietta, N.Y./Rush-Henrietta) and Kessler Potter (Kents Store, Va./Fluvanna County). Coté returns after being named an All-PAC Honorable Mention in 2025-26 after tying for 14th place. Potter was Allegheny's second-best finisher last fall and was on pace for All-PAC accolades, but spent the spring semester studying abroad in Ireland.
