JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – The Allegheny women's golf team competed at the Saint Francis Red Wolves Invitational Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 5-6) at the Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown, Pa.
The Gators finished the six team event in third place with a two round score of 732. Host Saint Francis won with a score of 713. Allegheny was just one stroke behind Saint Vincent for second place.
Kessler Potter (Kents Store, Va./Fluvanna County) had the top finish for the Gators. After shooting rounds of 87 and 84 for a 171 total, the junior placed third. She was just one stroke out of second place.
Ada Coté (West Henrietta, N.Y./Rush-Henrietta) also produced a top-10 finish. Scoring rounds of 88 and 86, her total of 174 earned her sixth place.
Elana Khilji (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) tied for 13th with a score of 188.
Julia Antonacci (Indiana, Pa./Indiana Area) was 24th with a score of 204 while
Payton Essman (Hamburg, N.Y./Nardin Academy) rounded out the Gator golfers, one stroke behind Antonacci as she finished 25th.
