WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. -- The Allegheny College women's golf team wrapped up the final round of the two-day Greenbrier Intercollegiate Women's Invitational with a 10th-place finish on Tuesday evening.
The Gators placed 10th overall with a cumulative 858 (+282). Allegheny trailed ninth-place Sweet Briar College by 39 strokes after carding rounds of 430 and 428.
Senior
Josephine Corey (Lakewood, N.Y./Southwestern Central) paced the Blue and Gold by tying for 37th out of 56 total competitors. Corey recorded five pars in each round, including three of The Greenbrier's five par-5s on Tuesday. She finished with a 36-hole score of 181 (+37) with an 89 during the first round and a 92 on the last 18 holes.
Sophomore
Ada Coté (West Henrietta, N.Y./Rush-Henrietta) also collected 10 pars over the course of both days and placed 47th. After carding a 100 (+28) on Monday, she shaved five strokes off her second-round score, resulting in a 95 (+23). Coté found success on the shorter holes with pars on four of the course's five par-3s on Tuesday.
