ITA Rankings

MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Both Allegheny College tennis programs climbed in this week's edition of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III national rankings.

The Gator women, who recently concluded their regular season with a 16-6 overall record, jumped up three spots to No. 65. Last week, Allegheny hosted both Penn State Behrend and 15th-ranked Case Western Reserve University, and picked up its 16th win of the year by shutting out the Lions. 

The Allegheny men's tennis team jumped from 68th to 67th in this week's ranking. After clinching the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) regular-season title, the Gators enter the PAC Championship Tournament with a 15-7 overall record. The Gators have won 10 consecutive matches, including eight in a row with a 7-0 final score. The men – in search of their fourth straight conference championship – will host Washington and Jefferson College in the semifinal round of the PAC Tournament on Thursday, April 23, at 4 p.m.
