PAC Release

TRAFFORD, Pa. – Gabrielle Bassette (Miami, Fla./Miami Country Day School) of the Allegheny women's tennis team was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Athlete of the Week.
 
This marks her first Athlete of the Week honor after being named Newcomer of the Week twice this season.
 
Bassette helped the Gators win both of their matches last week after tallying a 4-0 record. On the road at Geneva, Bassette teamed up with Maria Lounder (Pittsburgh, Pa./Moon Area) at first doubles for the victory before also collecting a win at win at first singles. At home against Waynesburg, Bassette won second doubles with Lounder while picking up her second first singles win of the week.
 
The Gators are back in action Wednesday (Oct. 1) at home against Grove City.
