Academic Honor Squad Release | Academic Honor Roll Release
NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. -- The Allegheny College women's lacrosse team received multiple academic accolades from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) for its success in the classroom during the 2024-25 academic year.
As a team, the Gators were named an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, an award given to programs that posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.20 or higher. Allegheny was one of six teams from the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and one of 383 programs across Divisions I, II, III, and the NAIA to earn the distinction this year. The Blue and Gold have received Academic Honor Squad recognition for 16 consecutive years, dating back to 2009.
In addition to the team award, five Gators were selected to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, which recognizes juniors, seniors, and graduate students who have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. Seniors
Ema Caragein (Pittsburgh, Pa./Seton LaSalle) and
Lauren Petrarca (Simi Valley, Calif./Royal) earned the award for the second year in a row. Juniors
Kendall Cox (Silver Spring, Md./Albert Einstein),
Olivia Savage (Meadville, Pa./Meadville), and
Macy Simons (Catonsville, Md./Western Tech) were named to the Academic Honor Roll for the first time.
