GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Allegheny College women's lacrosse team was defeated in its 2026 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) opener by Grove City College, 20-1, on the road Tuesday night.
The Gators (1-5-1, 0-1 PAC) were unable to slow down the two-time defending conference champions from Grove City (7-3, 3-0 PAC). After Allegheny scored on a free-position attempt midway through the first quarter, the Wolverines held the Gators to just three shots while scoring 18 unanswered goals en route to the victory.
Amelia Henderson (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) tallied Allegheny's lone goal. Henderson stripped the ball from Grove City's Gwen Shilling to set up the scoring opportunity. After being fouled in the critical scoring area, the senior cashed in on her free-position attempt for her fifth goal of the season.
