Five From Softball Named All-PAC

TRAFFORD, Pa. –
The Allegheny College softball team earned five spots on the 2025 All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Teams.
 
Aleya Belardinelli (Melbourne, Fla./West Shore), Olivia Devries (Kent, Ohio/Field), and Samantha Phillips (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon) earned First Team All-PAC Honors. Sofia Genareo (Lakewood, N.Y./Southwestern Central) was named to the Second Team, while Cameron Long (Midlothian, Va./Midlothian) was an Honorable Mention.
 
Belardinelli earned her fourth First Team All-Conference selection. For the season, Belardinelli carried a 1.95 ERA while collecting 10 wins. She finished the season fourth in the conference in ERA and total strikeouts. Her 142 strikeouts featured a league-best 50 looking. Belardinelli struck out 10 or more batters five times, including a season-high 13 against Thiel. The senior also threw a one-hitter against John Carroll. At the plate, she hit .316 with 36 hits, 25 runs scored, and 11 RBI. She finishes her Gator career with 492 strikeouts and 41 wins. 
 
Devries earned her second First Team selection. For the season, she hit .417 with 53 hits, 33 RBI, 25 runs scored, 12 doubles, and nine home runs. Her home run total was second in the conference, and her .417 batting average was seventh. Devries tallied 16 multi-hit games this past season. She hit a pair of home runs as part of a three-hit performance against Franciscan. The senior also had a season-high four RBI, including a walk-off two-run home run against Westminster. She finishes her career with 22 home runs, tied for third in program history.
 
Phillips also earned her second First Team honor. For the season, she hit .386 with 49 hits, 32 runs, and 21 RBI. She had 13 multi-hit games this year, with a season-high three hits against both Trine and Franciscan. Phillips hit her first career grand slam as part of a multi-hit day at Bethany. She also crossed the plate three times in games against Grove City and Northwestern (Minn.). In the outfield, she committed just one error for a .977 fielding percentage.
 
Genareo was selected to the second team for the third time in her career. For the season, she hit .317 with 39 hits, 26 RBI, four doubles, and two home runs. Genareo tallied a season-high four hits against both Bluffton and Washington and Jefferson. In a game against Grove City, she had a season-high five RBI on three hits, including a home run.
 
Long earned her second All-PAC recognition as an honorable mention selection. For the year, the senior catcher hit .284 with 27 hits and 13 RBI. Long had a season-high three hits against Washington and Jefferson and drove in a season-high three runs against Emmanuel. Her eight doubles were second on the team.
 
Samantha Dzierba (Colden, N.Y./Orchard Park) was named the All-PAC Sportsmanship Team. The PAC Sportsmanship Teams were established to recognize student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through demonstrated acts of sportsmanship and ethical behavior, and are an ongoing effort to recognize and encourage positive sportsmanship among all PAC teams and student-athletes.
