MEADVILLE, Pa. – Emmet Fluharty (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) and Jack Malnar (Brecksville, Ohio/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) of the Allegheny men's swimming and diving team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team for their performance in and out of the pool this past season.
 
For Malnar, this marks his third straight year earning the honor, while Fluharty takes home his second.
 
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, and be a standout in the pool.
 
Academic All-District winners advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, Second-, and Third-Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced later this month.
