Box Score NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Allegheny College men's tennis team locked up the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) tournament with a 7-0 win at Westminster College on Wednesday.
No. 63 nationally-ranked Allegheny (17-6, 7-0 PAC) won its seventh consecutive PAC match in shutout fashion. With a 7-0 conference record, the Gators are guaranteed the top seed in the PAC Championships despite having one match left on the schedule against Washington and Jefferson College. With the No. 1 seed, Allegheny earned a first-round bye and will host a semifinal match on Thursday, April 24, at the Robertson Athletic Complex.
The Titans (5-6, 3-4 PAC) were no match for the Gators on Wednesday. Allegheny dropped only one game to Westminster in the fifth singles contest and won the remaining matches with shutouts. Freshman
Andrew Kautz (Natchitoches, La./St. Mary's) earned his first collegiate singles victory in the No. 6 spot, beating Hayne Webster 6-0, 6-0.

Anton Hedlund (Hovas, Sweden/Katrinelundsgymnasiet) moved into second place all-time in Allegheny history with 145 career wins. Hedlund surpassed David Howell '00 (144) and now trails only Patrick Cole '14, who owns the record with 161 combined victories.
