TRAFFORD, Pa. – Anton Hedlund (Hovas, Sweden/Katrinelundsgymnasiet) of the Allegheny men's tennis team was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Player of the Week for his performances in a pair of Gator wins last week.
 
The Gators won a pair of games on Saturday (March 29), defeating Ohio Wesleyan and Otterbein on the road.
 
Paired up with Kristian Janci (Kysucké Nové Mesto, Slovakia/The British International School Shanghai) at first doubles for each match, the duo defeated their Ohio Wesleyan counterparts 6-4 and their Otterbein opponents 6-2. Hedlund played second singles against Ohio Wesleyan, winning 6-2, 6-2. In their second match against Otterbein, Hedlund won at third singles 6-0, 6-1.
 
The Gators open conference competition Thursday (April 3) at Grove City, a rematch of the 2024 PAC Championship.
