ORLANDO, Fla. – The Allegheny men's tennis team dropped a match to 13th-ranked Kenyon at the UTSA National Campus in Orlando, 7-0, Wednesday (March 4).
In doubles action,
David Rodriguez (St. Ann's, Trinidad & Tobago/Fatima College) and
Zidaan Hassan (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway) had the closest match at third doubles, falling to their counterparts 7-5.
At first singles, Memije fell to Paulo Pocasangre, who is ranked 16th in the Central Region, 6-2 6-1.
A pair of Gators also faced nationally ranked players. At second singles,
Levente Mihaly (Békéscsaba, Hungary/Békéscsabai SZC Széchenyi István) fell to 21st-ranked Alejandro Gonzalez 6-4, 6-1 while 39th-ranked Maximo Llamas Castellanos defeated Rodriguez at third singles.
