MEADVILLE, Pa. – Four members of the Allegheny women's basketball team earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors for their performances on and off the court this past season.
Jess Bickart (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley),
Sofia Genareo (Lakewood, N.Y./Southwestern Central),
Emily Lauer (Knox, Pa./Keystone) and
Sarah Santicola (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area) earned the honors.
For Lauer, this marks her third time earning the honor. Bickart and Santicola are earning the honor for the second straight year.
To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore with a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher, and have played in at least 90 percent or started in 66 percent of the team's competitions throughout the season.
Academic All-District winners advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First-, Second-, and Third-Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in April.
