TRAFFORD, Pa. – Tyler Skaggs (Champion Heights, Ohio/Champion) of the Allegheny College baseball team earned Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Hitter of the Week honors for his performances last week in Florida.
For the week, the sophomore catcher hit .500 with a .609 on-base percentage and a .944 slugging percentage. He totaled nine hits, including two doubles and two home runs, while driving in six runs, scoring five runs, and earning five walks.
Skaggs tallied at least a hit in the last four games of the week and reached base safely in all five. Against St. John Fisher, Skaggs went three-for-four with a home run and a career-high four RBIs. He also had three hits, two of which were doubles, against Roger Williams, and had a multi-hit game, including a home run, against Aurora.
The Gators open the home portion of their schedule Wednesday (March 12) against Wooster.
