TRAFFORD, Pa. -- The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) named Allegheny College's
Luke Barker (New Castle, Pa./Struthers (Ohio)) the conference's Player of the Week following his incredible performance against Bethany College on Saturday.
After posting a game-high 23 points in a midweek loss to Westminster College, Barker enjoyed a banner performance in the regular-season finale at Bethany College. The senior guard led the Gators to a 101-79 victory over the Bison with a career-high 41 points, tied for the fourth-most in a game in program history. Not only did he match his season-high with five 3-pointers, Barker went 18-of-21 from the free-throw line. His 18 foul shots rank third all-time and are the most by a Gator in a game since 1959. Barker also collected 10 rebounds for his first double-double of the year while dishing out seven assists.
For the week, Barker averaged 32.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game while shooting 52.9% overall (18-of-34) and 87.0% (20-of-23) from the foul line.
Barker concluded the season with 519 points, seventh-best in team history, and will graduate as Allegheny's fourth all-time leading scorer with 1,451 career points.
