TRAFFORD, Pa. -- Pijus Latauskas (Vilnius, Lithuania/Kiski Prep (Pa.)) continues to collect awards from the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC).
Allegheny College's first-year forward was named the PAC Newcomer of the Week on Monday, the third time he's earned the award through the first five weeks of the 2025-26 season.
Latauskas led all Gators with 19.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game during the first two PAC games of the year. On Wednesday against Westminster College, which was voted No. 1 in the North Division in the conference's preseason coaches' poll, he scored 14 points with five rebounds and one block in a 66-54 win. Latauskas then logged his first career double-double with season highs in points (25) and rebounds (10) in a narrow 83-80 loss at Geneva College on Saturday.
Through the first six games of the season, the 6-foot-8 Latauskas ranks second on the team with 15.0 points per game. He's reached double figures in all six contests.
Latauskas and the Gators return to the David V. Wise Center on Saturday, December 13, for a nonconference matchup against Case Western Reserve University at 1 pm.
