PAC Release

TRAFFORD, Pa. -- For the second week in a row, the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) selected Allegheny College's Pijus Latauskas (Vilnius, Lithuania/Kiski Prep, (Pa.)) as its Men's Basketball Newcomer of the Week.

In Allegheny's only game, Latauskas led the Gators with a team- and season-high 15 points in a 72-60 loss against Oberlin College. The first-year forward shot 55.6% (5-of-9) from the field and 83.3% (5-of-6) from the foul line. He also grabbed three rebounds, dished out two assists, and recorded one block in 30 minutes of action. 

Latauskas has made an immediate impact on the Allegheny lineup despite his freshman status. Not only has he started each of his first three collegiate contests, but the 6-foot-8 forward has also reached double-digit points in all three.

The Gators continue their three-game homestand with a nonconference matchup against Penn State Behrend on Tuesday, November 25, at 7:30 p.m.
