TRAFFORD, Pa. – Allegheny men's basketball freshman Pijus Latauskas (Vilnius, Lithuania/Kiski Prep (Pa.)) was named the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week for his performance in a pair of games for the Gators last week.
 
In two games, Latauskas averaged 14.5 points and eight rebounds per game.
 
At Carlow, Latauskas helped the Gators win with a 12-point, seven rebound performance. He also blocked a pair of shots in the game. Then at Pitt Greensburg, Latauskas scored 17 points while grabbing nine rebounds.
 
The Gators are back in action Wednesday (Nov. 19), hosting Oberlin for their season opener.
