WILLOUGHBY HILLS, Ohio -- Senior
Josephine Corey (Lakewood, N.Y./Southwestern Central) paced the Allegheny College women's golf team with an 11th-place performance at the 2025 John Carroll University Fall Invitational, held Saturday and Sunday at Manakiki Golf Course.
One of three Gators to post an improved score on Sunday, Corey shaved eight strokes off her first-round total with a 9-over 81. She birdied the par-4 second and par-3 seventh holes, and was one of only two players in the entire tournament with an eagle, which came on the par-4 16th. With a cumulative 169 (+25), Corey tied Erica Laurentino from Shenandoah University in 11th place out of 56 total golfers.
Ada Coté (West Henrietta, N.Y./Rush-Henrietta) was one stroke better during the final round with an 89 (+17).
Kessler Potter (Kents Store, Va./Fluvanna County) improved by six shots and carded a 93 (+21) on Sunday. The two sophomores, along with first-year
Mackenzie James (Wexford, Pa./North Catholic), each logged one birdie in the second round.
As a team, the Gators placed seventh overall with a two-day total of 733 (+157). Allegheny edged eighth-place College of Wooster (734, +158) by a single stroke.
