VIENNA, Ohio -- The Allegheny College women's golf team opened the 2025 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Fall Championships with a third-place performance at the Avalon at Squaw Creek Golf Course on Monday.
The Gators carded a cumulative 365 (+77) on Monday. Although Allegheny and Grove City College were tied for third place in the PAC's pre-championship coaches' poll, the Gators currently lead the Wolverines (372, +84) by seven strokes after the first round of action.
Westminster College leads the pack with a 337 (+49), just four strokes ahead of Washington and Jefferson College (341, +53).
Leading the way for the Blue and Gold inside the top 15 were
Kessler Potter (Kents Store, Va./Fluvanna County) and
Josephine Corey (Lakewood, N.Y./Southwestern Central). Potter was the only Gator with a birdie during the first round, which came on the par-4, 421-yard eighth hole. The sophomore sits 10th out of 49 with an 87 (+15). Corey trails her teammate by only two strokes with an 89 (+17).

Ada Coté (West Henrietta, N.Y./Rush-Henrietta) also rank inside the top 25 in 19th and 23rd, respectively.
