TRAFFORD, Pa. – Jacy Diaz (Barranquitas, Puerto Rico/Gallatin (Tenn.)) of the Allegheny volleyball team was named Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Defensive Player of the Week for her efforts in helping the Gators go 4-0 at the Great Lakes Crossover.
 
For Diaz, this marks the fourth time she has earned the honor in her career.
 
Diaz led the Gators defensive front with 101 digs in four matches. She achieved 30 or more digs twice on the weekend with 32 against Muskingum and 30 against Heidelberg on the opening day. On the second day, Diaz had 25 and 14 dig games. Additionally, she was second on the team with seven aces.
 
The Gators are back in action Friday (Sept. 6), facing Earlham in a neutral site game hosted at Case Western Reserve.
