SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio -- Allegheny College women's golf finished sixth at the Donald Ross Invitational, a two-day tournament hosted by John Carroll University on Sunday and Monday.

After playing 18 holes at the Manakiki Golf Course in Willoughby, Ohio, on Sunday, the tournament concluded with the final round at the Shaker Heights Country Club in Shaker Heights, Ohio, on Monday. The Gators posted a two-round score of 771 (+199) and placed sixth ahead of Marietta College (782, +210), the host Blue Streaks (793, +221), and Capital University (821, +249).

Josephine Corey (Lakewood, N.Y./Southwestern Central) and Elisa Gomez (La Mirada, Calif./St. Joseph) continued to pace the Gators on the links. Both carded identical scores of 85 (+13) in the first round, and the duo both finished with four birdies across the entire tournament. Corey, however, logged a slightly better score at Shaker Heights and tied for 11th overall with a 168 (+25). Gomez, who had two birdies on Monday, tied for 14th with a 171 (+28).

First-years Kessler Potter (Kents Store, Va./Fluvanna County) and Payton Essman (Hamburg, N.Y./Nardin Academy) rounded out the Allegheny quartet by placing 26th and 44th, respectively.
