GRANVILLE, Ohio – The Allegheny women's golf team began their season Saturday and Sunday (Aug. 31-Sept. 1) at the Lynn Schweitzer Invitational, hosted by Denison.
 
The Gators finished the event in 15th in the two-round event with a team score of 707. Denison won the event with a score of 610.
 
Elisa Gomez (La Mirada, Calif./St. Joseph) led the Gators on the weekend. She produced identical rounds of 84 to tie for 48th with a score of 168.
 
Josephine Corey (Lakewood, N.Y./Southwestern Central) finished in 57th place with consistent round scores of 86.  
 
Ada Coté (West Henrietta, N.Y./Rush-Henrietta) was just behind Corey with a score of 175 to tie for 60th while Kessler Potter (Kents Store, Va./Fluvanna County) rounded out the Gators with a two-round score of 192.
