PAC Release
TRAFFORD, Pa. -- The Allegheny College women's golf team finished fourth in the 2024-25 Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the conference on Thursday afternoon.
The Gators, who had one first-place vote, earned 50 total points. Allegheny narrowly beat Geneva College and Thiel College; the Golden Tornadoes and Tomcats tied for fifth place with 49 points.
Westminster College and Washington and Jefferson College received the remainder of the first-place votes. The Titans, winners of the 2023-24 PAC championship, finished in first place with 77 points. After placing second behind Westminster by one stroke last season, the Presidents from W&J were once again picked second with 74 points. Third-place Grove City College was 10 points ahead of Allegheny with 60.
Allegheny placed two student-athletes on the PAC's Players to Watch list, both former All-PAC selections. Senior
Elisa Gomez (La Mirada, Calif./St. Joseph) was an All-PAC Second Team honoree in 2022-23. Last season, junior
Josephine Corey (Lakewood, N.Y./Southwestern Central) earned All-PAC Honorable Mention accolades after leading all Gators with a 12th-place finish in the PAC Championships.
