MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny women's track and field team competed in their annual home meet, the Marty Goldberg Gator Invitational, Thursday (May 9).
 
Laila Davis (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton) won the hammer throw with a career-best toss of 52.55 meters. That throw is currently the 21st best throw in Division III this season. It also improves her mark from earlier this season which was the third best in program history.
 
Marrin Crist (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area) won the 1,500 meter run. She pulled away in the final lap of the race, finishing with a personal-best time of 4:56.75.
 
AB Snyder (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) picked up a win in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.12 seconds.
 
Zoe Romanowski (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton) also collected a win for the Gators, taking first in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.93.
 
Nelly Stafford (Middletown, Md./Middletown) won another distance event for the Gators as she completed the 5,000 meter run in 18:53.17.
 
The Gators closed the evening with the 4x400 meter relay. The squad of Logan Wagner (Woodville, Ohio/Oak Harbor), Renee Tetlow (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva), Romanowski and Celia Cocca (East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora) won with a time of 4:05.40.
