NCAA Selections

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Allegheny College's Elizabeth Lubold (Indiana, Pa./Indiana Area) is Myrtle Beach-bound after being selected for the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Lubold, a second-year javelin thrower, is one of 22 athletes selected to compete in the event at the national championship meet, as announced by the NCAA on Friday night. She is the first javelin thrower from Allegheny's women's track and field team to qualify for the NCAA Championships since three-time All-America Lauren Butler '12 qualified in each of her four years with the Gators.

A two-time All-Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) honoree, Lubold enters the NCAA Outdoor Championships ranked 16th in the country. At the Mount Union Last Chance meet on Thursday, she logged a personal record at 42.07 meters, more than two meters better than her previous record from Penn State's Jim Thorpe Invitational on May 3. Her PR is the third-best mark in program history.

The NCAA Outdoor Championships will take place at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach from Thursday, May 23, through Saturday, May 25. The women's javelin is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday.
