BOARDMAN, Ohio --
The Allegheny College women's golf team concluded the 2023-24 season with the spring portion of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championships, held on Friday and Saturday at the Mill Creek Golf Course's North Course in Boardman, Ohio.

Although the Gators did not place as a team in the final standings, two Allegheny golfers earned All-PAC Honorable Mention accolades for finishing in the top 15. Josephine Corey (Lakewood, N.Y./Southwestern Central) and Jenny Beth Brundige (South Fulton, Tenn./South Fulton) finished in back-to-back places, as the former was 12th and the latter placed 13th out of the 33 athletes who played all four rounds of the PAC Championships.

Corey's best round of the 72-hole tournament was the third. She carded an 86 (+16) on Friday and carried the momentum into the first hole on Saturday, which she birdied. For the entire tournament, which included the fall rounds at Avalon Golf and Country Club's Squaw Creek in October, Corey fired a 364 (+78).

After finishing the fall portion of the tournament tied for 19th place, Brundige climbed six spots with two solid rounds at Mill Creek. She parred eight holes on Friday and recorded an 83 (+13). She added five more pars on Saturday, four on the front nine, for an 87 (+17). Brundige was three strokes behind Corey with a 72-hole score of 367 (+81). In addition to her All-PAC Honorable Mention status, the senior from Tennesee was named Allegheny's representative on the PAC Sportsmanship Team.

Sara Karns (Tarentum, Pa./Highlands) rounded out the Allegheny trio as the junior wrapped up her first year on the team with a 27th-place finish. Her best round of the season came on Friday with a 117 (+47) despite high winds and wet course conditions.

Westminster College won the PAC Championship by one stroke over Washington and Jefferson College, with a cumulative 1,329 (+185). Sierra Richard, the individual medalist, and Katie Rose Rankin, the PAC Newcomer of the Year, led the Titans to a narrow victory.
