LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Allegheny women's track and field team had a contingent compete at the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic Saturday and Sunday (April 13-14).
 
The field at Bucknell consisted of several Division I, Division II and top Division III schools.
 
Laila Davis (Springfield, N.J./Jonathan Dayton) carded the best individual finish of the day for Allegheny. She placed seventh in the hammer with a heave of 48.59 meters, a season-best throw by nearly three meters. Additionally, she competed in the shot put, taking 13th with a toss of 12.54 meters. The mark is currently second best in the conference.
 
Marrin Crist (Gettysburg, Pa./Gettysburg Area) also had an impressive performance for the Gators in the 3,000 Meter Steeplechase. Crist finished with a time of 11:20.59 to take 10th overall. The finish was also a season-best by .10 seconds, which sits at the top of the Presidents' Athletic Conference.
 
Jacqueline DiGiacomo (Sewickley, Pa./North Allegheny) had a season-best toss in the discus of 34.46 meters to take 30th.
 
Nelly Stafford's (Middletown, Md./Middletown) time of 18:41.19 in the 5,000 meter run, which is the sixth-best in the PAC, gave her 47th.
 
Celia Cocca (East Aurora, N.Y./East Aurora) ran a 2:17.53 in the 800 meter run to take 69th place. That is currently the second best time in the PAC.

Zoe Romanowski (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton) ran a 12.92 in the 100 meter dash to take 76th, improving her season-best time by .07 seconds.
 
Renee Tetlow (Geneva, Ohio/Geneva) also had a season-best time competing in the 400 meter dash at 1:01.59. That earned her a 78th place finish.
