MEADVILLE, Pa. -- For the second time in as many weeks, the Allegheny College baseball team was recognized by D3baseball.com as
Tommy Landsnes (Richmond, Va./Brunswick Academy) was included on this week's edition of the Team of the Week.
The Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Newcomer of the Week, Landsnes, broke out the bat in a doubleheader sweep of Franciscan University on Sunday. Starting both games at DH, he hit .625 with a 1.000 slugging percentage and a team-high six RBIs. He slugged both a double and a triple in the opener, an 8-2 win. He then logged season highs in RBIs (4), hits (3), runs (2), and stolen bases (2) to lead the Gators to a 19-2 rout of the Barons in the nightcap.
In eight appearances as a freshman, Landsnes boasts a .350/.480/.550 slash line, and three of his seven hits have gone for extra bases.
The Gators are home on Thursday, March 28, for a 3:30 p.m. showdown against Pitt-Bradford at Robert M. Garbark Field.
